Our local Department of Water and Power is required, per the City Charter, to examine its rate structure every two years and, as part of this process, the utility contracted with HDR Consultants to examine the DWP’s costs and make recommendations on possible alternative rate structures. The results of HDR’s analysis will be presented in a special meeting of the DWP Board of Commissioners in a rate study workshop, following a closed session item scheduled to begin at 8am tomorrow morning. The DWP Board’s special meeting and workshop take place at the DWP offices at 41972 Garstin Drive in Big Bear Lake.
