Appears Departure is Imminent for Two Top BVUSD Administrators

Big Bear Lake, CA, April 28, 2015 – In a letter released today by Kurt Madden, Superintendent of the Bear Valley Unified School District, addressed to school district employees, community members, and the media, it was disclosed that top administrators, Kurt Madden, Superintendent, and Walter Con, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, are both being considered for positions in other school districts.  Mr. Madden for a position in the Bonita Unified School District and Mr. Con for a position in the Orcutt Union School District.  Part of the exploration process includes community visitations by the different districts to conduct interviews of various staff and community members which will take place this Wednesday and Thursday.  In addition, the letter states that updates will be provided if an official decision is made relative to their employment status.
