San Bernardino County Supervisor Neil Derry has committed to additional code enforcement resources in the county areas of the Big Bear Valley and other mountain communities. On 03/20/09, deputies from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station joined San Bernardino County Code Enforcement officials and California Highway Patrol officers conducted a six hour sweep in the Erwin Lake area, specifically looking for abandoned vehicles, boats and trailers, vehicles with expired registration parked on County roadways, residences with refuse and scrap in the yards, and various other County code violations.
The code enforcement sweep resulted in 32 vehicles being towed, seven cases opened on residences in violation of County codes, and numerous other citations written for County and vehicle codes.
