Big Bear Lake, CA, July 30, 2012, 8:00am – On Wednesday, July 25, 2012 Investigators with the Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team (M.E.T.), the United States Forest Service and members of the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP) seized an outdoor marijuana cultivation located in the Skinner Creek area of the San Bernardino National Forest, south of Angelus Oaks. The marijuana cultivation contained nearly 20,000 mature plants (4 to 7 feet) that were in the process of being harvested. Approximately 100 pounds of finished marijuana, ready for distribution, was located within the site. Investigators also located ammunition for small and large caliber firearms. Investigators found the camp set up for the caretakers, irrigation lines to feed the plants, and trash. No suspects were found.
