During the regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Big Bear Municipal Water District, held yesterday afternoon (August 6), the resolution amendment regarding headwalks was once again addressed. Headwalks, which are the fixed piers or walkways to docks affixed to the public property of the MWD, will no longer be allowed on Big Bear Lake, per the unanimous decision of the MWD Board. Based on eight findings of the Operations Committee of Directors Skip Suhay and John Eminger, and presented by MWD’s General Manager Scott Heule, it was determined that there was no compelling reason to continue allowing the construction of headwalks which, at present, are not used by any commercial marinas on Big Bear Lake.
