The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station oversaw a parole and probation compliance operation over the weekend, which resulted in 18 arrests within the Big Bear Valley. Per the statement just issued by the San Bernardino Couty Sheriff’s Department: “On Saturday, June 27, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Big Bear Station, conducted a Parole and Probation Compliance Operation. The operation included the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Narcotics Division, San Bernardino County Probation Department, and State Parole. The operation was conducted to check on parolees and probationers living within the Big Bear Valley to establish whether or not they were in compliance with their terms and conditions. As a result of the operation, deputies arrested seven adults on parole, seven adults on probation, and four adults on other felony charges. The violations stemmed from gun, weapon, and drug charges. The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station routinely works in conjunction with County Probation and State Parole to monitor the whereabouts and activities of parolees and probationers to ensure that they remain in compliance with the terms and conditions of their release from custody.”
