Big Bear, Ca, September 5, 2011, 4:00pm – Big Bear’s own Skateboard and Snowboard phenom, 11 year old Drayden Gardner is hosting a skateboarding contest this Saturday, September 10th. Drayden, who has been competing both in snowboarding and skateboarding for the past few years wanted to do something to thank the community for all of the support given to him to help him get to nationals this past year, and years previous. Drayden with the help of his father Chase, created a special Big Bear skateboard for the winners of the contest. The contest will take place at the Sugarloaf Skate Park, and will start with practice at 9:00am, and competition starting at 10:00am. As Drayden is thanking the community by hosting the skateboarding contest- proceeds from the days event will go to the Big Bear Teen Center. For more information about the contest call 261-4609.
