Treat Our Troops With Leftover Halloween Candy

Big Bear Lake, CA, November 5, 2013 – Summit Dental is collecting unopened, leftover Halloween candy every day between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., through this Thursday, November 7th.

The candy will be donated to U.S. troops via Operation Gratitude, and kids aged 14 and under who donate candy will be entered in a raffle for Toys “R” Us gift cards.

Every year, Operation Gratitude sends over 100,000 care packages to deployed service members and their children, veterans and first responders. Each package contains filled with snacks, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation.

Since its inception in 2003, Operation Gratitude volunteers have shipped more than 915,000 packages to American armed forces.
