Big Bear Valley, CA — With winds picking up again this afternoon (Monday, May 10), the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for our area, which takes effect as of 5pm and extends through 9pm Tuesday night. This Wind Advisory, for both the San Bernardino mountains and surrounding deserts, is indicative of winds at 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts exceeding 40 miles per hour also possible. During wind events, those in high-profile vehicles are advised to use extra caution, and all should watch for downed power lines and tree limbs.
