The Board of Directors for the Big Bear City Community Services District had scheduled their board reorganization for their second December meeting on December 21, though that was adjourned due to lack of a quorum; their first December meeting had also been adjourned, although that was due to severe snow on December 7. So, as of this evening at 5:30pm, Directors Jeff Newsome, Marge McDonald, Barbara Beck, Rick Ollila and President John Day will convene at the CSD offices, located at 139 E. Big Bear Boulevard, to elect a new president and vice president. In the course of the last six years, current Directors John Day, Rick Ollila and Jeff Newsome have each served as CSD president twice; prior to their two turns apiece, former Director Bob Colven served two terms as CSD president. Director Marge McDonald has not yet served as president, though is the current vice president for the district, which oversees trash, solid waste and water infrastructure and services for the East Valley.
