Remaining CSD Board Members Decide To Appoint Open Board Seats

Big Bear, Ca, May 10, 2011, 8:00am – At a special meeting of the Big Bear City Community Services District on May 9th, the three remaining board members voted to fulfill the empty positions, left by Rick Ollila and James Smith when both suddenly resigned last week, by appointment.  The board ruled out a special election due to how expensive one would be.   Those interested in serving on the CSD board are encouraged to take in a resume to the CSD offices by 4:30pm on May 24^th.  The board will then hold a special meeting on the 26^th of May at 5:30pm to consider the applicants for appointment.  According to Mary Reeves at the CSD, the board “may or may not appoint applicants at this meeting.”
