Big Bear, CA – Big Bear Fire Department is planning for the future. The Department is in the process of conducting a master planning study to develop a Fire Protection Master Plan for the Big Bear Valley. The study will help the Department and its governing board evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of current fire services and develop a plan for the future.
A survey has been developed for community input as a part of the study process. Fire Chief Jeff Willis invites the community to participate in this important study stating, “Fire Protection Master Planning is an important process that evaluates current service demand levels and quantifies the Department’s actual performance in meeting that demand. We desire feedback from the community at-large as to what we are doing well, and what areas require improvement. This information is vital to the process, as it is the community that sets the desired level of service; it is our job to then perform to that standard.”
This brief and anonymous survey is open to all community members and can be completed online at BigBearFire. The survey will remain open until 5 p.m., March 10, 2017.
