Fire Departments Come Together To Figure Out A Plan

Big Bear, Ca, June 6, 2011, 12:00pm – The Big Bear City Community Services District, and the City of Big Bear Lake Fire Protection District will hold a joint meeting tomorrow in Hofert Hall at 6:30pm.  The two organizations, which oversee the Big Bear City and Big Bear Lake Fire Departments, will meet to develop a local plan that effectively and efficiently provides essential all risk fire and other related services for the communities served.  Both organizations have been in discussion about a possible merger for the last few months, as they aim to solve budgetary problems faced with both departments.  The public is encouraged to attend and may speak during public time.
