Big Bear, Ca, October 25, 2011, 5:00pm – Bear Valley Electric Service is helping Big Bear Valley residents live greener, and cut down on their electric bill this Friday and Saturday. BVES will be hosting a home lighting exchange event, where customers can bring up to four incandescent light bulbs and exchange them for four new compact fluorescent lights, also known as CFLs. CFLs are easy to install and according to Bear Valley Electric, they utilize approximately 70% less electricity than the conventional incandescent light bulbs. Customers can also exchange up to two incandescent night lights for the new LED style night light. With daylight savings time just around the corner, we will all be using our lights more. Bring your bulbs, a copy of your Bear Valley Electric Bill, or valid California ID on Friday at the City Offices from 10am to 2pm, or on Saturday at the Bear Valley Electric offices from 10am to 2pm.
