’Tis the season of board reorganizations, and this evening at 5:30pm, directors for the Big Bear City Community Services District will vote amongst themselves to select a new president for the coming year. In the course of the last six years, current Directors John Day, Rick Ollila and Jeff Newsome have each served as CSD president twice; prior to their two turns apiece, former Director Bob Colven served two terms as CSD president. On the current board, Director Marge McDonald has not yet served as president, though has been vice president in 2009; the fifth member of the CSD Board, Barbara Beck, will not be in attendance for this evening’s vote (given the recent passing of husband Roger), though is ineligible for the presidential post, as she has not yet been on the board for over a year. This evening’s CSD meeting, to be led by current President John Day, will be held at the CSD offices at 139 E. Big Bear Boulevard, and is open to the public. Update: Due to lack of a quorum, this evening’s meeting has been adjourned and the Board reorganization will take place at the next regular meeting on Monday, January 4.
