Big Bear Lake, CA — An undercover operation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Narcotics Division on Friday, February 26 resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals. Per the press release: “Detectives from the San Bernardino County Narcotics Division and the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station conducted an undercover operation at Snow Summit Ski Resort. The operation consisted of plain clothed deputies purchasing marijuana from subjects in the parking lot. During the operation, approximately five ounces of marijuana was recovered in exchange for money. Edward Baxter, a 24-year-old resident of the Big Bear area, attempted to sell homemade chocolate marijuana candy to the undercover officer. A total of 10 arrests were made for charges of sales of marijuana and furnishing marijuana. The operation was initiated when a citizen complained about being approached in the parking lot by a subject who asked her if she wanted to purchase marijuana. The citizen immediately contacted the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station resulting in the initiation of the special operation.”
