Second of This Week’s Earthquakes Registers a 1.5 Magnitude
We had a small earthquake in our area this morning, which the U.S. Geological Survey recorded as that of a 1.5 magnitude. Centered seven miles north of Big Bear City, this 1.5 magnitude tremor occurred at 9:21am. On Tuesday, a smaller, 1.3 magnitude quake was centered five miles north of Big Bear Lake at about 3:45pm. Big Bear Middle School Students Take to the Stage for a “Seussical” Musical at the PAC

Hazardous Fuels Pile Burns Continue on San Bernardino National Forest; Crews in Barton Flats Area Today
Hazardous fuels pile burning continues on the San Bernardino National Forest, as part of the agency’s ongoing effort to reduce the risk of wildfire to the mountain communities.
