Big Bear City, CA — The Big Bear Area Regional Wastewater Agency convenes for their regular monthly meeting this evening at 5pm and, as some action items were tabled at last month’s meeting, due to lack of a quorum given that some Governing Board members were in attendance at the Lighthouse Project’s Vision 2010 Community Summit (also on February 24), business items such as approval of the Operating and Capital Budget for fiscal year 2010/2011 are scheduled for Board approval today, March 24. At present, the BBARWA Governing Board is overseen by Chairman John Day and Vice Chair Rick Ollila, both of whom serve as an extension of their duties as directors for the Big Bear City Community Services District, prompting CSD President Marge McDonald to note, “This has been a long time in comin’ for members of our Board!” at a CSD meeting earlier this month. BBARWA is also governed by Big Bear Lake City Council representatives Liz Harris and Rick Herrick and Fawnskin representative Tom Brandau. BBARWA meetings are held at the BBARWA offices at 121 Palomino Road in Big Bear City and are open to the public.
