Big Bear Lake, CA, December 27, 2012 – REVISED December 28, 2912 – When it’s time to say goodbye to your Christmas tree this year, Big Bear Disposal is ready to help. Residents of the City of Big Bear Lake only can dispose of their Christmas tree at Big Bear Disposal’s Garstin Site until January 14. There will be a container available just for Christmas trees. Notice Of Fees To Be Collected

Big Bear Lake, CA, June 9, 2011, 8:00am – A Notice Of Fees To Be Collected on your property tax roll was recently mailed to Big Bear Lake property owners. The courtesy notices are to let you know that there has been a change in the Sewer User Fee for Improved Parcels and the Refuse Fee for Unimproved/Vacant Parcels. The fees are collected on the property tax roll. City Of Big Bear Lake Sewer User Fees for Improved Parcels could be increased up to a maximum of $34.29 annually per average residence, but the rate may be less once finalized because the BBARWA portion of the rate increase has not yet been determined. The Refuse Fee for Unimproved/Vacant Parcels from Big Bear Disposal will increase 61 cents per residence per month. Community Clean Up/Free Dump Day April 9th

Big Bear Valley, CA, April 1, 2011, noon – Big Bear Lake residents and Big Bear City Community Services District Customers can dispose of electronic & universal waste free of charge on April 9th. In partnership with Big Bear Disposal, the City of Big Bear Lake will participate in the County of San Bernardino “Free Dump Day” on Saturday, April 9th from 8am to 3pm at Clean Bear Site # 1 on Garstin Drive for Big Bear Lake residents only. For CSD customers, the Big Bear City Maintenance Yard at Paradise Road and Grenfall Lane will be open from 8am to 3pm. The following items will be accepted: regular household trash, yard waste and tree trimmings, appliances, furniture, tires (off the rim), electronic waste (E-waste), televisions, cell/mobile phones, telephones, fluorescent tubes, radios/stereos, microwave ovens, clothes irons, VCRs, space heaters, computers, printers, household batteries, aerosol cans, and thermostats.
