Monday Afternoon Sunshine Results in Big Bear’s Warmest Temperature for 2009
If it feels exceptionally warm out there, that’s because today (April 20) is indeed the warmest day of 2009 here in the Big Bear Valley. Today’s high topped out at 69.9º--as compared to our coolest day of the year, just two months ago, when we hit –1.8º on February 19. Firefighters Quickly Contain Small Brush Fire Off Highway 38 This Morning
If you heard the many sirens this morning (April 20) at around 10am, this was in response to a small brush fire at the east end of the Valley. The brush fire only burned a 10’x10’ spot off Highway 38 at Mitchell Lane.
