Bears Win First Games of BBHS Basketball Season
Big Bear High School basketball is underway, and both the boys and girls varsity teams won their first games of the season, against Lucerne Valley High School yesterday. Smoke May Be Visible, Due to Forest Service Pile Burns Off Highway 38
Smoke may be visible from the Big Bear Valley this afternoon, as the U.S. Forest Service is conducting hazardous fuels pile burns in the Barton Flats area off Highway 38. A former Valley resident was arrested last night, for a string of at least a dozen burglaries in Big Bear over the last several months.
