Big Bear High School basketball is underway, and both the boys and girls varsity teams won their first games of the season, against Lucerne Valley High School yesterday. The Big Bear High School boys cross-country team, which won the De Anza League and placed second overall in the CIF Southern Section finals, competed in the State Championships in Fresno this weekend. Snow Summit Opens for Thanksgiving; Big Bear Mountain Resorts Also Open Golf Course for Holiday Weekend
It is officially ski season in the Big Bear Valley as, come Thanksgiving, both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit resorts will be open for skiing and snowboarding.
