Downed Tree Results in One Fatality
A freak accident involving a large Jeffrey pine tree which fell on a single moving vehicle on Catalina Road in Big Bear Lake at approximately 11:10 am this morning resulted in the death of the driver, the solo occupant of the car. Highway 330 Re-Opens
Highway 330 has re-opened after being temporarily closed by the U.S. Forest Service due to fire activity near the highway below Running Springs. At this time, all routes in, out and around Big Bear are open. As of 12:15pm, lightening strikes have resulted in a at least a dozen small fires in the San Bernardino.
