As trail use has continued to grow the Trails Foundation, the Forest Service and the Southern California Mountains Foundation agreed that it was time to make it happen. Bennett and Phil developed a Hand Book and since then have conducted 4 trainings with just over 50 trained Trail Hosts who are now official Forest Service Volunteers.
