Road Work Ahead: Additional Flagging on Highways 38 and 18 Next Week, Thursday Closure of Highway 330
In addition to the ongoing Big Bear bridge project at the dam and the roadwork on Highway 38, at the base of the mountain and into Mentone, CalTrans has additional highway projects scheduled for next week. Blasting for Big Bear Bridge Project to Take Place on Friday
CalTrans has just alerted us that blasting will be taking place for the Big Bear bridge project tomorrow, July 31. Two blasting times are scheduled for Friday: 9am to 11am and again from 1 to 3pm. The California Highway Patrol is asking for the community’s assistance in an investigation regarding a non-contact hit and run collision that occurred on Friday, July 10 on Highway 18. CalTrans Implements Paving Project on Highway 38; Weekday Flagging at Base of Mountain
CalTrans has begun work on the Highway 38 repaving project, which consists of grinding the existing surface and replacing it with rubberized asphalt.
