New Wine Bar in the Village OK’d by City Council

Big Bear Lake, CA, July 15, 2016 – On July 11, the Big Bear Lake City Council approved a new wine room and restaurant at 560 Pine Knot Avenue in the Village. The facility for Dave Stone’s latest venture, called the Black Kat, was approved through a plot plan review by the Big Bear Lake Planning Commission in May. That decision was appealed to the council by Bill Young, a lodge owner on the north side of the new facility. Big Bear, CA, May 24, 2016 – Learning and good nutrition does not end when school lets out.  The USDA Summer Food Service Program helps provide nutritious meals to children so they are better fueled with healthy food to learn and grow. The SFSP is a federally-funded, state-administered program. You can watch as skiers and snowboarders descend the dark slopes of Snow Summit lit only by the torches they carry. It’s a great way to kick off your New Year’s celebrations. New Year’s Eve on the Mountain

Big Bear Lake, CA December 31, 2013 – There are quite a few ways to ring in the new year here in Big Bear, starting with Snow Summit’s annual Torchlight Parade at 7:00pm tonight. A holiday tradition not seen anywhere else in SoCal, it’s a spectacular display not to be missed, with 250 skiers and snowboarders descending the mountain with lit torches. There are several locations where you can have a special New Year’s Eve dinner, or you can join in on one of the parties happening around town. Wyatt’s Saloon at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center has a family friendly New Year’s Eve party starting at 5:00pm with live entertainment, ranch style grub, and free shuttle service. Northwoods Resort is offering reduced admission to their party with the purchase of dinner. The Wine Room has an early bird dinner from 5:00-7:00pm and is also offering free shuttle service from their celebration.
