Santa is Taking Appointments

Big Bear Lake, CA, December 3, 2013 – Every year, Santa Claus brings gifts to around 1,000 kids in the Big Bear Valley, and he’s now taking appointments for this year’s visits.  On the evenings of December 19, 20 and 21, the red-suited visitor will call out the child’s name with a merry “Ho-ho-ho!” as he approaches the house with age-appropriate presents. Santa will visit any youngster in the Big Bear Valley, whether local or visiting, but reservations must be made by calling either (909) 585-4991 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., or (909) 866-2253 after 5:00. Reservations will be taken up to the week the visits take place. This is a free service provided by the Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake, whose members travel with Santa as his helpers around the entire valley. Though not necessary, any donations are gladly accepted to help to fund the...

Big Bear Fire Department Christmas Tree Lighting And Santa’s Arrival

Big Bear City, CA, November 23, 2012, 2pm –  The Big Bear Fire Department will be hosting the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Big Bear City Fire Station located at 301 W. Christmas In The Village

Big Bear Lake, CA, November 23, 2012, 8am – The official Tree Lighting Ceremony & Santa’s Grand Entrance will take place in the Village today. Entertainment begins at 5pm. Steve Cassling will be the Master of Ceremonies this year, and Charles Dickens Carolers will be performing, as well as five local high school students, part of Mountain Top Strings. Miss Big Bear and her court, and the high school cheerleading team will also be there. NSES Hosts Breakfast with Santa

Santa Claus Has Been Coming To Town!

Big Bear, Ca, December 23, 2011, 1:00pm – With Christmas just a few days away, Santa has been a very busy man.  Santa Claus has taken time out of his busy schedule to visit the boys and girls of the Big Bear Valley this week, along with the help of the Big Bear Lake Rotary Club.  Santa has flown into town the last few nights and visited with children young and old, lighting the valley up with holiday cheer. Santa will be making a few stops around the valley tonight, before he heads back to the North Pole to gather up presents to deliver late Christmas Eve night.  As Santa will be flying in on a much larger sleigh, along with the reindeer on Christmas Eve, the Big Bear City airport is preparing the runway for Santa’s arrival.  The airport crews are making sure the runway will be clear of any ice and snow, and that it will be well lit for the jolly man in reds arrival to the Big Bear Valley the night before...
