Sheriff’s Department in Search of Suspect in Taco Bell Robbery

Big Bear, CA, April 30, 2013 – On Monday night, April 29th, at approximately 10pm at the Taco Bell on Big Bear Boulevard, a male, described as 20 to 30 years of age, white or light complexion Hispanic, entered the front door and displayed what was described as a black gun and demanded money.  He was given and fled with $750.00.  A further description of the suspect is 5’6”  tall, last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black hat, glasses, black bandana and gloves.  It is suspected an accomplice, described as a white female and driving a dark SUV, which could be a Dodge Nitro or Jeep Commando, was involved in the crime.  Anyone with information involving this robbery is advised to call Sergeant Mariedeth at the Big Bear Sheriff’s Department at...

Robbery at Taco Bell Prompts Lock Down of Big Bear Middle School

Big Bear Lake, CA, April 26, 2012, 3:30pm – On Wednesday, April 25th, at approximately 11:45am, Big Bear Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a robbery at Big Bear’s Taco Bell.  Upon arrival, the suspect or suspects had fled the scene.  Deputies canvassed the area and interviews with employees and patrons were conducted.  As a precautionary measure, Bear Valley Unified School District personnel made the decision to lock down the Big Bear Middle School located one block east of Taco Bell.  Students were released from the school at the normal time and no injuries were reported at either the restaurant or school.  Deputies are continuing their investigations today.  KBHR will have further details as authorities make them...
