Local Actor Joins KBHR Staff

 Big Bear Lake, CA, July 2, 2013 – KBHR welcomes local actor and business owner Steve Cassling as morning announcer on 93.3FM; his on-air debut was July 1. Steve has been acting professionally for almost three decades. After studying Theatre Performance at Boston University, he joined the acting company of the Tony award-winning Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas, appearing in dozens of productions, from “Cyrano de Bergerac” to “The Sound of Music.”  He then spent twenty years in Los Angeles working in television commercials and shows such as “General Hospital,” “The Young & The Restless,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Murphy Brown,” “Murder, She Wrote” and “The Facts of Life.”  He also appeared in several films, including the horror classics A Nightmare on Elm Street and Re-animator. Steve is no stranger to voice work, either. He sang on the soundtracks for X-Men 2 and Dudley Do-Right, and his voiceovers can be heard in numerous Anime series: Giant Robo, Ghost in the Shell, Bleach, Super Pig, Ambassador Magma, and Love Hina, to name a few, as well as a number of  PlayStation and X-Box games. In addition, he sings with the local a capella group Simply Voices.
