“Young Americans” offer workshop to students, show tickets to hosts

Big Bear Lake, CA, January 19, 2013 – Music programs have been shown to increase students’ math and reading abilities, critical thinking skills and self-discipline – yet budget cuts continue to reduce such programs around the country. That’s why groups like The Young Americans, which has been providing music education and performance opportunities to youth since the 1960s, are more important than ever. Students in grades three through 12 are invited to apply online at www.regonline.com/Big Bear.  Local host families are needed to provide room and board for two or more members of the touring group. In exchange, the household will receive two free VIP seats at the January 29 performance.
