Driver Arrested for Failure to Yield, DUI and Probation Violation Following Pursuit

Big Bear, CA – On Wednesday, April 12, at approximately 4:20 p.m., a Deputy from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station observed a white Mustang with expired registration driving near the intersection of North Shore Drive and Division Drive in Big Bear City. The Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop; however, the driver of the vehicle failed to yield and pull over. Big Bear, CA, March 27, 2015 – The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 34-year-old Robert Trionfi. Trionfi is a parolee at large on Post Release Community Supervision and has an active felony warrant in the amount of $250,000 issued against him for assault with a weapon. Trionfi is known to travel between the Big Bear Valley and Lucerne Valley areas. Robert Trionfi is a Hispanic male, 5’10” tall, 200 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. Full Closure of Highway 18 Coming Next Week

Big Bear, CA, October 3, 2014 – Caltrans announced a full road closure of SR-18 between the Big Bear Dam and Snow Valley beginning on Monday October 6 and running through Thursday October 30. The closures will take place Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be no Friday closures. Caltrans needs the time for cleaning tree cut areas and removing slide material from previous weather events. Alternate routes are SR-18 to Lucerne and SR-38 to Mentone.
