Treat Our Troops With Leftover Halloween Candy

Big Bear Lake, CA, November 5, 2013 – Summit Dental is collecting unopened, leftover Halloween candy every day between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., through this Thursday, November 7th. The candy will be donated to U.S. troops via Operation Gratitude, and kids aged 14 and under who donate candy will be entered in a raffle for Toys “R” Us gift cards. Every year, Operation Gratitude sends over 100,000 care packages to deployed service members and their children, veterans and first responders. Each package contains filled with snacks, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation. Since its inception in 2003, Operation Gratitude volunteers have shipped more than 915,000 packages to American armed forces. Halloween In the Village: Monday October 31st

Big Bear, Ca, October 29, 2011, 12:00pm – Children young and old can dress up in costume, and trick or treat through the Big Bear Lake Village on Halloween, Monday October 31st.  The Big Bear tradition will continue this year, with the roads within the Village, Pine Knot and The Village Drive being closed down between 4:00 and 9:00pm.  Village businesses, and other valley businesses and organizations set up trick or treat stations in the village and pass out candy to the trick or treaters!  This year there will be a haunted house at the Wishing Well at Nottingham’s Resort.  Once again search and rescue will be on hand to host a lost parent, lost child booth.  KBHR will have a booth at Christmas Tree point, and will be playing Halloween music all night.  Dress warm, bring a smile, and stop by the booth to say hi.  Trick or treating will take place between 4:30 and...
