The Inn at Fawnskin Offers Music by Starlight

Fawnskin, CA, July 19, 2013 – Friends of Fawnskin will present the 12th Annual Concert on the Green on August 4th, at 6:30 pm, at The Inn at Fawnskin (880 Canyon Road).  Backed by the Real Jazz Trio, vocalist Nancy Walker will perform a tribute to “The Great Ladies of Jazz”. Walker says she is excited about a concert that lets her celebrate the singers who have influenced her the most. Covering Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald, and others, she will weave interesting stories of the singers and songwriters. Walker added, “I am also excited to be performing with my good friend, Mike Cross, and his fabulous trio.  Having a great trio behind me gives me not only peace of mind, but also allows me to be spontaneous in the moment, to express myself musically, which is what jazz is all about.” The trio also features Mark Cade on stand-up bass and Steve Boggio on drums. The $30 concert tickets include one free raffle ticket. Wine will be available for purchase, chairs will be provided, and there will also be live and silent auctions.
