New Traffic Ticket Amnesty Program

Big Bear, CA October 12, 2015 – A New Traffic Ticket Amnesty Program started October 1st, 2015.  This program can help to reinstate Driver Licenses and is designed to assist qualified drivers with paying unpaid traffic or non-traffic infraction tickets, by reducing fines by 50 or 80 percent. The Traffic Tickets/Infractions Amnesty Program will only last for 18 months. This new amnesty program is not a DMV program, applicants must contact the superior court in the jurisdiction(s) where they received the traffic ticket(s) to find out if they are eligible to participate. Applicants can find court information and locations on the California Court’s Locator System California drivers with outstanding infraction tickets originally due for payment on or before January 1, 2013, and those seeking to have their drivers license reinstated may qualify for the program. This amnesty program does not apply to parking tickets, reckless driving, and Driving Under the Influence (DUI) offenses. Courts, counties, and other authorized collection agencies may charge a $50 amnesty program fee. Also, if reinstating your license, the DMV will charge a $55 reinstatement fee, which the department charges to have any driver license reinstated. San Bernardino DMV Office To Close For Renovations

Sacramento, CA, February 27, 2012, 4:00pm – The California Department of Motor Vehicles has announced that the San Bernardino office located on North Waterman Avenue will be closing at noon on Friday, March 30 for renovations. As a result of the closure, six nearby offices will open an hour earlier each day beginning Monday, April 2 to accommodate local customers. The $2.6 million renovation, which will take 18 months to complete, includes structural reinforcements, larger lobby space for customers, and improved energy efficiencies. Victorville DMV Closing for Repairs

Big Bear, Ca March 11, 2011 3:00 pm – The Department of Motor Vehicles office in Victorville will be closed for repairs beginning April 8.  The Victorville office, which opened in 1982, has not been upgraded since that time.  During the 17 month closure, a temporary location will serve DMV customers at 14850 La Paz Drive in Victorville beginning Monday, April 18.  During the 10 days when no office will be open in the area, customers will be directed to the Barstow, Fontana, and San Bernardino DMV locations.
