Full Closures on Arctic Circle to Begin Monday October 3rd

Big Bear, CA, September 9, 2016 – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 8, will close State Route 18 in the “Arctic Circle” Monday through Friday, October 3, to October 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No closures are scheduled for Friday, October 14. The closure limits are between Snow Valley Mountain Resort and Big Bear Dam. Big Bear, CA, September 23, 2016 – The California Department of Transportation District 8 is set to begin the paving project on State Route 18 on Monday, September 26.  The $2.3 million contract was awarded to All American Asphalt and will provide a pavement overlay from Running Springs to just south of Lake View Point. Caltrtans To Install New Stop Signs on State Route 38 in Fawnskin

Big Bear, CA, September 3rd, 2016 – The California Department of Transportation will install permanent stop signs on State Route 38 at the intersection of Stanfield Cutoff on the North Shore of Big Bear Lake in Fawnskin. Lane Closures in Fawnskin This Week

Fawnskin, CA, August 15, 2016 – The California Department of Transportation is cleaning drains, reestablishing flow in roadside culverts and grading shoulders this week at two locations on State Route 38 near Fawnskin. On Tuesday, August 16, Caltrans will be cleaning drains and culverts, as well as grading the shoulders near North Shore Landing.
