Big Bear City, CA, June 8, 2016 – At approximately 8:30 yesterday morning, deputies of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station conducted an area check in the residential neighborhood surrounding the 1200 block of E. Kayah Drive in Big Bear City. Residents had reported a suspicious vehicle that was occupied by two subjects parked in the area. Early Morning Traffic Collision Takes Two Lives

UPDATE – June 1, 2016 – The driver and front passenger involved in the fatal traffic collision that occurred on May 29, 2016 at approximately 3:35 a.m. near the intersection of Big Bear Blvd. and Lark Road in Big Bear Lake have been identified. The driver, Hermelinda Celis-Juarez, a 44-year- old resident of Big Bear Lake, remains in critical condition on life support. Big Bear City, CA, May 18, 2016 – On Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at approximately 2:05 p.m., deputies from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of a stabbing in the area of the 2100 block of E. Big Bear Lake, CA, April 21, 2016 – On Wednesday, April 20, at approximately 3:00 p.m., deputies from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station Multi Enforcement Team served a search warrant at the residence of Scott Payne in Big Bear Lake. During the search, deputies recovered stolen property, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and other evidence consistent with the sale of narcotics.
