Big Bear, CA – On Wednesday, April 12, at approximately 4:20 p.m., a Deputy from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station observed a white Mustang with expired registration driving near the intersection of North Shore Drive and Division Drive in Big Bear City. The Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop; however, the driver of the vehicle failed to yield and pull over. Search Warrant Leads to Arrest for Child Pornography

Big Bear City, CA – Shortly before noon on Wednesday, April 5, deputies and detectives of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 Block of S. Central Lane in Big Bear City. The search warrant was obtained as part of an ongoing investigation into possession of child pornography. The suspect, identified as 63-year-old Thomas Goede, was found have sexually explicit photographs of minors on his personal cell phone. Sugarloaf Resident Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property and Drug Paraphernalia

Big Bear, CA –  On Monday, April 3, at about 2:00 a.m., Deputy Llamas from the Big Bear Station contacted 26 year old Robert Allen Standard at a business located in the 100 block of Maple Lane in Sugarloaf. Standard was found to be in possession of several coins that appeared to belong in a coin collection and not used for currency. UPDATE 2/23 10:00AM: In Custody Death Investigation of Male Arrested for Sexual Molestation of a Minor; Additional Victims Suspected

UPDATE: On Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 4:20 a.m., the jail deputy was conducting his observation logs when he saw Todd hanging from the bars of his cell, with his shoelaces tied around his neck. The deputy quickly cut the shoelaces from his neck and called for medical aid. Medical personnel responded and pronounced Todd dead at the scene. Todd was housed alone in the cell.
