Wind Advisory in Place Through Wednesday Night; BBHS Track Meet Postponed Due to Winds

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the San Bernardino mountains and nearby deserts; this Wind Advisory is in effect as of this afternoon and until 10pm tonight. Given this advisory, winds up to 35 miles per hour are expected and gusts up to 50 miles per hour may be possible, so use extra caution, especially if driving a high profile vehicle. Because of these strong winds, this afternoon’s Big Bear High School track meet at Desert Hot Springs has been postponed. A rescheduled date will be named by the BBHS Athletic Department at a later time, per Athletic Director Dave Griffiths.
