Wind Advisory in Effect Through Wednesday Night, Chance of More Winter Weather for Our Spring

Winds today...and snow later this week?

Big Bear Valley, CA — We can expect strong, gusty winds in the mountains and surrounding deserts today (April 20), as the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory that takes effect this afternoon and extends through 11pm Wednesday night. During this wind event, southwest winds could reach 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 50 miles per hour possible. Those in high-profile vehicles should use extra caution when driving during these windy conditions, and all should be mindful of the potential for downed tree limbs and power lines. For more information on this week’s weather, which may include additional snowfall (to this seasons to-date total of 119 inches), tune in to KBHR’s hourly weather forecast at quarter past the hour on 93.3 FM.
