schoolgeneric-thumb1Wednesday is the last day for community members to turn in applications to serve on the school district’s Measure Q Citizens’ Oversight Committee. This volunteer committee keeps the public informed on construction projects that fall under the Measure Q General Obligation Bonds passed by voters in 2002. They also review expenditures and provide annual reports to the Board of Trustees for Bear Valley Unified School District. The seven-member committee is to be made up of a cross-section of the community, including parents and those involved in PTA and booster clubs, senior citizens, and members of the business community. If you are interested in serving on the Measure Q Citizens’ Oversight Committee and haven’t yet picked up an application, they are available at the school district offices, at 42271 Moonridge Road and, again, due on October 7. Questions on this committee can be addressed to Joy Oliver at BVUSD at 866-4631.
