UPDATE: Dorner Investigation Continues

Big Bear, CA, February 8, 2013 – Schools in the Bear Valley Unified School District will be closed today.  In a statement released by Superintendent Kurt Madden, due to the on-going law enforcement investigation and the uncertainty of the whereabouts of Christopher Dorner, the decision was made early this morning to close schools today.  Law enforcement personnel were unable to locate Dorner with search parties going through the night.  The search began yesterday morning after Dorner’s Nissan Titan was discovered set ablaze in the forest near Bear Mountain.  The status of the investigation will be updated at a 9am press conference today.  Both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit resorts will be open today.
