Three-Vehicle Collision Results in Closure of Lakeview Drive; Four Adults Treated for Injuries

A three-vehicle collision on Lakeview Drive, just west of the Big Bear Lake Post Office, at 12:41pm resulted in closure of the street for nearly two hours this afternoon. There were seven individuals, three of them children, involved in the three-car accident, and responding agencies included the Big Bear Lake and Big Bear City Fire Departments and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Of the seven involved, one was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment of head and chest injuries; three adults were transported to Bear Valley Community Hospital for injuries; and the three children, who are said to have survived the incident without injury, were also taken to the local hospital for evaluation. Emergency personnel could not confirm if those involved were from the Big Bear Valley. Lakeview Drive is once again open to vehicular traffic.
