More Strong Winds Expected; Wind Advisory in Place Through Wednesday Afternoon

We had a High Wind Warning on Monday, which resulted in wind gusts up to 56 miles per hour outside the KBHR studios in Big Bear City.

Big Bear Valley, CA — We can expect more strong winds today, as the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for our area, which includes the mountains and surrounding deserts. Into this afternoon, there is the likelihood of northeast winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour, with gusts up to 50 miles per hour also possible. Given today’s Wind Advisory, drivers of high profile vehicles should exercise extra caution, and all are advised to watch for downed tree limbs and power lines.
