During snowplowing operations on Highway 330 below Running Springs this afternoon, a CalTrans plow operator found a plastic bag with a human foot in it. Upon further investigation at the site, near the large turnout at the middle passing lane between Running Springs and San Bernardino, the CalTrans employee also found a shallow grave in the snow. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was then called immediately, given the indication that this was a potential crime scene. No additional information has yet been released regarding the human foot in the plastic bag found off Highway 330 this afternoon.
