Snowboarder Dies After Striking Head Following Jump at Resort

A snowboarder died this afternoon, per a release issued by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Department. At 12:40pm, Kwang Kim, a 23-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was snowboarding at Snow Summit and, after an attempted jump in an area approved for jumping, he struck his head. Kim was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries at 2:30pm on December 23. The exact cause of death will be determined following an autopsy by the Coroner’s Division of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
