Snow Summit Opens This Weekend

Big Bear, Ca, November 12, 2010, 3:00pm - Big Bear Mountain Resorts (BBMR) announced today that Snow Summit will open this tomorrow November 13.  So. Cal skiers and snowboarders are invited to grab their gear and get up to Snow Summit for a head start on the 2010-2011 winter season.  Both Miracle Mile (Chair 1) and Bear Bottom Beginner Area (Chair 8), plus a few terrain features on Bear Bottom run, will open Saturday.   Big Bear Mountain Resorts will continue making snow at every opportunity, weather and conditions permitting. The opening date for Bear Mountain has not yet been determined.  Special early season rates will apply with discounted lift tickets available.  “We had some favorable snowmaking conditions this week enabling us to go ahead and give the green light to opening Snow Summit on Saturday,” said Chris Riddle, Director of Marketing for Big Bear Mountain Resorts.  ”After what has been a very long summer, everyone’s ready to hit the slopes.  This weekend is the perfect time to come up and take advantage of special pre-season rates and get a little head start on the 2010-2011 So. Cal snow season.”
