Small Vegetation Fire in Big Bear City Quickly Extinguished by Fire Agencies

Big Bear City, CA, August 23, 2010, 11:00am – Just before noon on Sunday, August 22, 2010, the Big Bear City Fire Department responded to a reported vegetation fire in the open field area just off of Arbor and Paradise.   The fire was in an area of dry brush and trees and quickly extinguished by the fire crew from Big Bear City Fire Department Engine 291.  Witnesses state they say children running from the area.  The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the cause along with Big Bear City Fire Department and the U.S. Forest Service.  No injuries or threat to any structures occurred.
