Big Bear City, CA, Sunday, May 1, 2011, 12:30pm – Firefighters responded to reports of smoke and a fire close to Van Dusen Canyon this morning. According to Forest Service Dispatch, the small fire near Bertha Peak was about 50 x 50 feet, two engines were working on it, and they’ve “got a handle on it”.
