Sierra Club Hosts Alternative Energy Symposium at the DC on Tuesday

sierraclublogo208wAn Alternative Energy Symposium will be presented by the Sierra Club Big Bear Group on Tuesday, September 15 at the Big Bear Discovery Center. This free opportunity to learn about a variety of alternative energy sources, including solar and wind, will include a panel of experts; those scheduled to attend, and answer your questions, include Andora Sprecher, environmental engineer from A&S Environmental Management, Inc., local contractor Bob Rowe of Rocom Solar, Bob Ludecke of Ludecke Electric on wind power, Chris Maybrier on hybrid energy, local developer Dennis Hall on “green” building, Energy Supply Specialist Peter Pearson of Bear Valley Electric, and Chris Cook, a local Sierra Club member, who has converted her home to a solar energy system. Brief presentations by each of the panelists will be followed by a Q&A session, and snacks will be provided.
