SIBBV Honors Local Women and Community Businesses and Organizations

Big Bear, CA, February 11, 2013 - Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley held their “Best for Women” Community Celebration last night at Northwood’s Resort.  Honorees included Violet Richardson Award recipient, Big Bear High School senior Katie Adams, Ruby Award recipient Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District dance instructor, Cortney Seifert-Warmsley, and Women’s Opportunity Award recipient Mom and Dad Project’s Tina Wade.  Soroptimist President, Jo Ann Cecil, also presented Business Appreciation honors to Holloway’s Marina and RV Park and North Shore Landing Marina owners Loren and Patty Hafen and Interior’s owners Patty Doktor and Dean Sizemore.  Additionally, Soroptimist distributed a total of $14,200 to local community organizations bringing the grand total dollar amount donated in 2011-2012 to $126,762.
